Who we are

This is the Privacy Policy for CPMI Solutions LLC dba Salt Lake Mailing and Printing (“Salt Lake Mailing & Printing,” “we,” “us”), a print communications company located at 1841 S Pioneer Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84104.

This policy covers two different kinds of information: (a) customer files we handle on behalf of our clients, and (b) information we collect to market Salt Lake Mailing & Printing’s own products and services, including through this website. We keep these two kinds of information separate.

Part A: Information we handle for our clients

Our role

Salt Lake Mailing & Printing respects the privacy of individuals that may receive marketing communications from Salt Lake Mailing & Printing on behalf of its clients, and the intention of this Privacy Policy is to inform individuals what information Salt Lake Mailing & Printing may have about them, how the information is stored by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing, and how and why the information may be used by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing.

Salt Lake Mailing & Printing acts as an agent on behalf of their clients to distribute targeted marketing messages to clients’ customers whether they be current, previous, or even potential customers of our clients. Clients may provide their customers’ information to Salt Lake Mailing & Printing, or Salt Lake Mailing & Printing may procure lists of customer information from commercially available sources on behalf of their clients. Salt Lake Mailing & Printing does not own clients’ customer information, and does not use the information for any other purpose than to distribute marketing messages as directed by their clients. This means Salt Lake Mailing & Printing would never contact an individual from our clients’ customer files for the purpose of promoting Salt Lake Mailing & Printing or its services. Similarly, Salt Lake Mailing & Printing would never contact an individual from one client’s customer file with a message promoting another client and their services. Each clients’ customer file is proprietary to them, and is treated as such by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing.

Personal information in client files

Customer files shared with Salt Lake Mailing & Printing by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing’s clients, or procured by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing on behalf of and for use by their clients, may contain personally identifiable information. This information includes, but is not limited to: first and last name, mailing address, email address, age, and sex.

Storage and access

Personally identifiable information from customer files is stored by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing on secured servers located in the United States of America. Access to information stored on these secured servers is restricted and is governed and controlled by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing.

How client data is used

Salt Lake Mailing & Printing may use the data contained in customer files in a number of ways. Data may be sorted and segmented to provide targeted messages by segment, and name and physical or email address will be used for delivery by US Postal Service or other electronic means. In the case of emails, Salt Lake Mailing & Printing may collect disposition information like whether or not the email was opened or if links within the email were clicked on. For either traditional mail or email, Salt Lake Mailing & Printing may also use customer information to create reports to evaluate campaign effectiveness, but this information is only ever shared with the client to whom the customer data belonged.

Opting out of client communications

If an individual wishes to be excluded from any marketing communications sent by Salt Lake Mailing & Printing on behalf of a client, they may contact us at contact@saltlakemailing.com or may contact the client through their designated channels. Requests submitted to Salt Lake Mailing & Printing will be shared back with clients.

Part B: Information we collect for our own marketing

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, place an order, call us, email us or sign up for updates, we collect what you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address and project details. Calls placed through our call tracking numbers, including the numbers shown on our website and in our ads, may be recorded for quality and to understand which marketing brought you to us. Calls made directly to our main office lines are not recorded.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or open our emails, we and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to collect information such as IP address, device and browser type, device identifiers, cookie IDs, pages viewed, time on page, referring website, approximate location, and whether an email was opened or clicked.

Website visitor identification. We work with third-party data partners who may match the information collected when you visit our website (such as IP address, cookie IDs and device identifiers) against information those partners already hold. This can identify the business or person who visited and may include name, business name, job title, email address, postal address and phone number. We use this to follow up with visitors who showed interest in our products and services.

Information from other sources. We may obtain business and consumer contact information from commercially available sources and data partners, including information that suggests interest in topics related to our products and services (for example, direct mail, printing or postcard marketing). This information is used only for Salt Lake Mailing & Printing’s own marketing and is never combined with, or drawn from, our clients’ customer files described in Part A.

How we use it

  • To respond to quote requests, orders and questions
  • To contact you about our products and services by email, mail or phone
  • To show you ads on websites and platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and Microsoft, including ads after you leave our website
  • To measure which campaigns work and improve our website and services
  • To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of our website and forms
  • To comply with law

How we share it

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email delivery, call tracking, analytics, customer relationship management and data processing. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and social media platforms. We may share a scrambled (hashed) version of email addresses or phone numbers with platforms such as Meta, Google and Microsoft so they can show our ads to matching users or measure results. These platforms may also collect information directly through tags on our website.
  • Data partners that provide visitor identification and audience data, as described under What we collect.
  • Legal and business reasons, such as complying with law, protecting our rights, or in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of our business.

We do not sell personal information we collect for our own marketing to third parties for money. Some state laws treat certain advertising and analytics sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out of that activity as described under Your choices.

Your choices

  • Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Mail and phone. Ask us to stop at contact@saltlakemailing.com or (801) 974-7600.
  • Visitor identification and targeted advertising. Email contact@saltlakemailing.com with the subject “Opt Out” and we will stop using your information for visitor identification and targeted ads, and add you to our suppression list.
  • Global Privacy Control. We treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
  • Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
  • Ad settings. You can also manage ads through Meta Ad Preferences, Google My Ad Center, and industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, which have no common standard.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to get a copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of your information. We honor these requests for anyone who asks. To make a request, email contact@saltlakemailing.com or call (801) 974-7600. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

How long we keep information

We keep information for our own marketing only as long as it is useful for that purpose or as required by law, and we keep suppression records so that opt-outs stay in effect. Client files are kept according to our agreements with each client.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. By using our website, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
